The Association for Population and Development (APD), is an
NGO ( Non- Governmental Organization) registered on the 18th June 2013
under Registration of Association Act ( Registered Number: 13374).
The vision of the Association is to have a Mauritian society free from
any form of discrimination based on sex, religion, creed, race
colour and background and where men and women enjoy the highest level
of economic, social and spiritual welfare and happiness.
The mission of the Association is to advocate and promote the
welfare of the citizens, especially the most vulnerable and the poor,
through the provision of the right ( IEC ) Information, Education and
Communication Services that may enable them to sustain a
healthy and happy life.
APD is synergised by a motivated team of economists, social scientists,
social workers, and collaborators from the private and public sectors.

- GENDER EQUALITY FOUNDATION, Incorporated in the Republic of Mauritius, a Charitable Institution set up in line with the Foundation Act 2012. The principal object of the Foundation is to promote gender equality. Men shall be a strong partner in achieving the goal of gender equality. The Foundation's responsibilities and objects include: - Re-visiting patriarchal masculinities and norms and enlisting "men as allies" for effective gender equality. Engaging the active participation of boys and men in the gender equality discourse and ensuring behavioural change for gender equality. Harnessing the potential of the youth as catalyst for gender equality. Breaking the gender equality bias and become a Gender Equality Champion.
