MEN AS CARING PARTNERS

The program "Men as caring partners" was launched in mid June 2022 at Souillac and thereafter in Phoenix under the leadership of the Association for Population and Development in collaboration with the Ministry of Gender Equality Child Development and Family Welfare,
The Association has staged a series of campaign which cut across harmony, equality and equity within the Family, male and female responsibility, elimination of domestic violence, reproductive health, community fusion and good communication.
Several focus group discussions were organised with social leaders within the community and young people. Radio programs were conducted along with podcasts on emerging challenges on the issue of male responsibility and parenting. Visual and promotional materials were distributed regularly,

- Community Awareness among members of the community, the stakeholders and the decision making teams.
- Media Support in a bid to maximize media usage and coverage, including digital media link for greater advocacy and information sharing
- Social Marketing where community-friendly actors, often called “bystanders”, will be trained to uphold the objects of the campaign.
